The Support Of The Community

7/2/2009

To the Editor:

On the evening of June 12, the heavy rain stopped, the sun came out andThe 2009 Art of Caring unfolded on the splendid grounds of Boehringer Ingelheim. The generosity of those who attended the event along with our gracious host, Boehringer Ingelheim, and our artists, restaurants, musicians, advertisers, and sponsors raised $140,000 for Regional Hospice. Generous support forThe Art of Caring makes sure Regional Hospice's nurses, home health aides, social workers, spiritual caregivers, and volunteers can bring their unique gifts of providing care, comfort, and compassion to patients and families.

We applaud the commitment of our host Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation and their employees who spent many months volunteering for this event. We also thank the many area restaurants who prepared and donated exceptional food for the cosmopolitan buffet. Local musicians set a wonderful atmosphere for the evening and we sincerely appreciate their time and talent. This year the art community participated in record numbers and we are grateful for their magnificent artwork. We appreciate the support of the entire community that makes it possible for Regional Hospice to provide care through our award-winning programs and services.

We look forward to seeing you next year atThe Art of Caring on June 11, 2010.
