Planning & Zoning At Its Best

To the Editor:
The residents of the neighborhood, between Walnut Tree Hill Road and Dayton Street, expressed a desire to have our properties rezoned in such a way as to give us options to use our properties other than as residences, but still maintain the character of the area. The Planning and Zoning Commission, together with Land Use Director George Benson, crafted a resolution by rezoning that area as Business and Professional Office (BPO).
This is a wonderful example of a town agency meeting a public need. It was truly an example of Planning and Zoning at its best.
