Beloved Wife And Mother
Eunice M. Corris Bertig, 80, beloved wife of John J. Bertig of Milford, died June 26, after a courageous battle with cancer, with her family at her bedside. Born in Bridgeport, February 20,1929, daughter of William and Ethel Corris, Mrs Bertig resided in Bridgeport, moving to Milford in 1991.
Her husband; three daughters, including Kathy Bertig- Karlson and her husband, John, of Newtown; four brothers; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Bertig.
She was former owner of Noonie Day Care of Bridgeport and a volunteer at Acts 4 Clothing Mission. She was appointed resident commissioner for the George B. Lewis Senior Complex, Naugatuck. She was a loving and caring mother whose love touched so many others.
Funeral services were held June 29.
