Bridgeport Hospital Nurse's Aide

Pauline Perhac Varza, 80, of Stratford, the beloved wife of the late William P. Varza, Sr, died April 30 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Mrs Varza was born on October 21, 1927, in Latrobe, Penn., and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Veronica Gabrick Perhac.

Mrs Varza is survived by her two sons, William P. Varza, Jr, of Newtown and Glen A. Varza, Sr, and his fiancée, Annette, of Hackettstown, N.J.; two sisters, Anne Grose of Plantsville and Margaret Moroz of Tafford, Penn.; three grandchildren, twins Mark and Kenneth, and Glen Jr; two great-grandsons, Cody and Cailen Varza; a daughter-in-law, Janet Varza of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a nurse's aide at Bridgeport Hospital and a longtime resident of Stratford.

Funeral services were held May 3 in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, Stratford, officiated by the Reverend Andrew G. Marus, pastor of the Holy Name of Jesus Church. Interment followed in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
