Thomas G. Nolan

Thomas G. Nolan, 91, of Southbury died Monday, June 13, in his home. He was born in Bridgeport, was the son of the late William P. and Marie McCarrick Nolan, and resided in Trumbull before moving to Southbury 25 years ago.www.redgatehennessy.com.

His beloved sister Marguerite Eldridge of Sandy Hook, niece Terry Lyman of Sandy Hook and nephew Alfred Killing II of Florida, survive him. His brother Lawrence Nolan and sister Patricia Killing predeceased him.

Mr Nolan was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport, an Army veteran of World War II, and retired as the head of the Social Services Division for the State of Connecticut. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and he was an active supporter of the Special Olympics, various veterans groups and the American Cancer Society.

Graveside services with full military honors will take place on Monday, June 20, at 11 am, meeting directly in St Michael's Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford (enter main gate of cemetery and follow to funeral home sign on left).

Contributions may be made in Mr Nolan's memory to the VA Connecticut Health Care System, Blind Center, 950 Campbell Avenue, West Haven CT 06516.
