Samuel T. Mazza, Sr, 73, died April 27 at Western Rehabilitation Care Center in Danbury, following a long illness. Mr Mazza will be missed by Linda (Gore) Mazza, his wife of 50 years; his siblings and their spouses, Theresa Cunningham of Poultney, Vt., Sarah and Art Crowell of Newtown, Louise and Jack Villane of Newtown, and John and Doreen Mazza  of Stuart, Fla.; his sons Samuel of Danbury and Anthony of Bethel; his daughter-in-law Wendy; his grandchildren Julie, Sam, Lainey, and Charlotte of Bethel; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents and siblings Josephine Somers, Elaine Belanger, Frank Mazza, and Ralph Mazza predeceased Mr Mazza.

During his early years he was a guitarist and band member of The Thunderbirds and Vandels. He worked for various grocery stores and retired from Branson Ultrasonic Power in 2003, where he had worked in the shipping department.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 10 am Tuesday, May 3, at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street in Danbury. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. Friends will be received on Monday, May 2, from 4 to 8 pm, at the funeral home.
